Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian singer-songwriter. She has released more than 20 albums. The songs of DiFranco are categorized as folk or alternative rock. However, they also contain influences from jazz hip-hop punk and rock and roll. Ani DiFranco, who is widely known as the feminist's icon, and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as to be the father in DIY music. She was one of the very first musicians to start their own labels in 1990. DiFranco was the child of Elizabeth (Ross), and Dante Americo DiFranco. In 2013 DiFranco apologized for her actions after it was discovered that she would be hosting the three-day event at an old Louisiana slavery plantation. It was cancelled but a lot of people (including this report) did not show any remorse. DiFranco issued a further apology several days afterward. Although she's known as Little Folksinger, her style is a mix of different types. Her collaborators range from Pete Seeger and Chuck D to Prince. She is from New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives with Kristen Ford. When she was 14, she started to compose her own songs. She performed them in bars and coffee houses throughout her teenage years. DiFranco was enrolled in classes at Buffalo State College at age 16 following her graduation from Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts.
